Microtime Machine was created between May 2022 and February 2023 as part of the „Syncopation and Volume“ project by Iftah Gabbai (programming), Steffen Just, and Jens G. Papenburg (concept). The tool is available for free and can be used to analyze time structures on non-quantized standard MIDI files as well as for artistic and creative purposes (e.g., to extract and create microtime patterns from any desired MIDI file) within Ableton Live.
The video tutorials explain and illustrate the tool’s functions and provide basic instructions on how to apply them to any MIDI file you wish.
